Numerical Estimation of Shaft Stability and Surface Deformation Induced by Underground Mining Transferred from Open-Pit Mining in Jinfeng Gold Mine

In this study, a three-dimensional finite difference numerical model of the Jinfeng Gold Mine, including surface topography, ore body, shafts, and main faults, was built to estimate shaft stability deformation induced by underground mining transferred from open-pit mining. Satellite monitoring data displacement at several points used calibrate model. The sequence excavation filling in simulation determined according schemes with appropriate simplification. distribution large deformations is consistent cracking areas on slopes surface. Besides, small, which reality that there are no shafts activities above 30 m level. After completion simulated mining, generally far less than critical deformation. Hence, we concluded Mine can remain stable stage. Overall, method study provides references for estimation stage mine transfer open pit.
